Art for Veterans

Why Art for Veterans?

Arts Council Northeast wants to provide a platform for our veterans and their families. A non-profit organization that has provided cultural opportunities for over 500,000 people in North Tarrant County, we support every aspect of artistic expression, but want to go a step further. Arts Council Northeast has been involved in the community for over 30 years. Therefore, we feel our experience and stability lends itself to successfully create this platform for our heroes.

What is Art for Veterans?

Art for Veterans was created out of a desire to give back to our heroes who have risked their lives to keep our American way of life. It is offered free to any veteran, or their family member, who would like to use the visual art of oil painting to privately express themselves. Each kit contains:

  • 1 Table box easel
  • 22ML Basics acrylic colors
  • Brushes
  • Painting knife
  • Mixing palette
  • 9” x 12” canvas
  • Drawing pencil

How does a veteran get their own complete portable studio at no cost?

It’s easy! All you have to do is contact the Arts Council Northeast business office at 817.283.3406 to pick up your kit.
